It a convergence point where your team and your customer meet. Not easy to pinpoint.<\/p>\n<p id=\"3690\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">So here are some elements to consider to help you build this value proposition. To simplify, the value proposition is the promise you make to your customers.<\/p>\n<p id=\"302c\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">When prompted with your value proposition, your target customers should be able to:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"postList\">\n<li id=\"1f21\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--p\">understand what you are proposing them<\/li>\n<li id=\"ec1c\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\">decide if this is something they want or not (<em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">yes I\u2019m interested<\/em>, or <em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">no, this is not for me<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"0fca\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--li\">To be able to craft a decent value proposition you need to understand and align on:<\/p>\n<p id=\"ae31\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">The main problem you are solving for your customers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"aad6\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">The problem you are solving should resonate with your target customer. If your target customer recognizes the problem, they will be interested in hearing about the solution you have to offer. That simple as that.<\/p>\n<p id=\"d053\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">Examples:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"postList\">\n<li id=\"5a1c\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--p\"><a class=\"markup--anchor markup--li-anchor\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vivino.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.vivino.com\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">Vivino<\/em><\/a><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">\u200a\u2014\u200apicking bad wines<\/em><\/li>\n<li id=\"7eaa\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\"><a class=\"markup--anchor markup--li-anchor\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mayuwater.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.mayuwater.com\/\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">MAYU<\/em><\/a><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">\u200a\u2014\u200adrinking bad water<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"a5fc\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--li\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"fed3\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Explain now how you are going to solve the customer problem? At this stage, if the customer agrees with the problem, then he wants to know what the proposed solution is. You don\u2019t need to go into details here, but you want to see if modalities of your solutions are acceptable to the customer. Your solution could be an app. A personalized service. A device.<\/p>\n<p id=\"9bd1\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">Examples<\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"postList\">\n<li id=\"b0b7\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--p\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">Vivino\u200a\u2014\u200aA mobile application<\/em><\/li>\n<li id=\"3dc8\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">MAYU\u200a\u2014\u200aA jug of water with a rotating stone<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"4c0e\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--li\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"1d6d\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">As a result of accepting your offer, what could happen to the customer? What can he expect to have or achieve that could not have before?<\/p>\n<p id=\"10f8\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">Example:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul class=\"postList\">\n<li id=\"5913\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--p\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">Vivino: feel great about their choice of wine, the confidence that the bottle they will share is a good one<\/em><\/li>\n<li id=\"0be6\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--li-em\">MAYU: drink purified water, and live healthier<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"b673\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--li\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Customer Quote<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"dc6b\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Thinking from the customer perspective is always useful. Think of what a happy customer would say after using your solution? This makes your value proposition very tangible for you and for the target customer that will see it.<\/p>\n<p id=\"2982\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\"><strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">Customer Commitment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"c5e2\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">To see if your value proposition is one that is compelling to your target customer, you simply present it to them and hope for a firm agreement. More than a yes, an engagement from that customer, joined with some commitment from them. Otherwise, don&#8217;t really if they&#8217;re just being polite are really interested. Think of what could be a good commitment you could ask your customers, should they be interested in your proposition.
