PowerPoint template for the Business Model Canvas

Companies use Alexander Osterwalder’s Business Model Canvas more and more often. Sometimes called the BMC, it has now become an essential tool of our generation.
People sometimes ask me for a PowerPoint version, so here is a template you can use.
Download the Business Model Canvas in PowerPoint here.
And here for the Google Slides version of the Business Model Canvas. (Make a copy)
The structure is simple, and so is understanding the tool. Because the document is so concise, this single sheet of paper is easy to adapt. It shows how the main drivers of a business work together. It identifies the revenue streams, the target customers, the products and the funding details. Very quickly, you get a clear view of the target market, the customers, the offer and the immediate environment.
What exactly is the Business Model Canvas for?
Launching a new business: It helps you lay out the hypotheses on which the business you are building rests. It structures your thinking along the 3 essential axes: desirability, feasibility and viability. Among the hypotheses behind your business model, you can see which are validated and which remain to be validated.
Understanding your company better: By putting your company’s business model on paper, you reveal the mechanisms that make the company run. Understanding the business better also means identifying its strengths and the elements to reinforce. The strengths can then be turned into a competitive advantage and form the basis of new offers.
Studying your competitors and partners: Just as with your own company, this model lets us clarify how our competitors and partners work. This analysis can help you optimise your operations, reduce risks and acquire resources. The Business Model Canvas is particularly useful when setting up a joint venture. You can see very clearly what each company brings.
If you want the details on video, I had the opportunity to present the Business Model Canvas on OpenClassrooms.
